Pipeline Integrity Management
Subsea Developments perform Pipeline Integrity Management Services for various Clients.
Current Examples of the type of work being performed are: Recertification of existing pipelines and facilities for life extension, Repairs to corroded lines using current reair techniques (see (2)), pigging management for operators to ensure wax monitoring (see (1)) and Operational pigging support (see (3)).
(1) SDA are currently managing the operational pigging for ROC Oil on the Cliff Head field. This involves pig procurement, refurbishment, pigging support, pig data interpretation and intelligent inspection management.
(2) SDA are assisting a Client in the procurement and installation of repair Clamps for a corroded pipeline. this involves the purchasing of the clamps, management of the trials and the development of installation procedures.
(3) SDA recenly supported an operator in the development of a pigging programme for an interfield flowline system that had not been pigged since its installation and which has severe internal corrosion believed to be caused by SRB activity. The work involved the design of the pigs, procurrement, procedure development and operations support in the execution of the pigging activity.
